Blue Stickman Tribes IQ Puzzle: Hints, Tips and Mechanics

To all IQ Puzzle fanatics out there, this is what you’ve been waiting for! The Tips, Hints and Mechanics of the 2nd Blue Stickman IQ Puzzle. After the success of the first IQ Challenge, I’m proud to give you the second IQ Challenge! This time it will be a lot harder, but not that hard. It’s just harder compared to the first one, but don’t think of it as hard and impossible to answer because as what I have said, it’s not that hard.

The prizes at stake are: $50.00 thru Paypal, 1 Free Domain Registration for 1 Year, a 125×125 Sidebar Banner at Jehzlau Concepts for 1 month (that’s worth $100.00! Really!) and these oh so cool limited edition Google Code Stickers (I got these during the Google Techtalk last November 2007 and I know that these are very rare nowadays because… these are rare, hehe)

So now let’s go to the mechanics, hints and tips. Without these, you can’t answer the puzzle correctly. You should follow the mechanics, tips and hints in order to get the right answer to this puzzle. If you don’t follow the instructions, then you’re wrong. If you did the opposite and got the correct answer, the you’re right! Yay!

INSTRUCTIONS:
Below is the picture of the puzzle as previewed in the announcement of the first IQ puzzle winner. All you need to do is find the common tribes. There are 15 Blue Stickman tribes in the picture. These tribes are grouped in boxes. The number of tribe members differ from each other, but there are also tribes with the same number of members. There are two unique tribes and these tribes are different from the rest, but they have a common factor (The hints will help you find what’s common with them). All you need to do is choose two boxes (2 tribes) below and explain why are they different from the rest and how they are related to each other.

MECHANICS:
1. The winner of the previous Blue Stickman IQ puzzle can still join this IQ challenge and the future IQ puzzles here at Jehzlau Concepts.
2. You can answer twice. Yes! You can answer two times to increase your chances of getting the right answer!
3. Your second answer should be separated from your first answer to avoid confusion
4. If you answered three times, your third answer is invalid, because you are only allowed to answer twice.
5. Don’t answer two times in one comment. If you answered twice in a single comment, your answer is invalid.
6. Your answer should follow the format below, otherwise it’s considered invalid:

For example your answer is letter A and B:
ANSWER: A and B

  1. ANSWER: D and H
    EXPLANATION: parehong 8 ang members ng tribes. hindi lumagpas sa lines ang mga stickman at walang naki-join (nag-overlap) na stickman from other tribes sa kanilang boxes. 🙄

  2. ANSWER: A and M
    EXPLANATION: Aside from having 9 stickmen. These are the only tribes who does not have the identical small stickman on the upper right corner of the Tribes.

    pa OT: ambilis ni Kuya Fitz! Haha! Adik! Jehz pa add ako sa blogroll muuuu!!! 😀

  3. eto nalang sagot ko (first try)

    ANSWER: G and H
    EXPLANATION: Because according to your hint, ABC = 123, galing dun, G=7 & H=8, and since 7 stick men ang nasa loob ng G and 8 naman ang nasa H, sila lang ang tribes na equal sa letter nila ang number ng members nila.

    La na maisip.. hehe

  4. Answer: A and O
    Explanation:
    A and O = 17
    B and N = 15
    C and M = 16
    D and L = 15
    E and K = 16
    F and J = 15
    G and I = 15 + 1 =16

    From the hint #12

    A and O 17, walang partner

    Shet!! nosebleed!! Bukas ulet.

  5. ANSWER: B and G
    EXPLANATION:

    I’ll try to explain my answer based on the hints to make my answer valid.

    1. If you’re blind, you cannot answer this puzzle – I can see that’s why I can answer the puzzle
    2. If you can’t hear, you can answer this puzzle – Even if I cannot hear, I think my answer was right
    3. If you can’t smell, you can answer this puzzle – I don’t need to smell to answer correctly
    4. If you don’t know how to add and compare, you cannot answer this puzzle – I know that’s why I answered!
    5. If you can’t walk, you can answer this puzzle – I answered it without standing and walking. I’m just staring in front of my PC, and poof! an idea appeared in my mind!
    6. If you can’t think, you cannot answer this puzzle – I can think that’s why I have an answer
    7. If you don’t want to answer this puzzle, you cannot answer this puzzle – I want to answer this puzzle that’s why I have an answer
    8. Discern past from the present and vice versa – I compared the old puzzle and the new one and I know my answer is right
    9. John Nash has a Beautiful Mind – JOHN NASH is equal to
    J = 10
    O = 15
    H = 8
    N = 14

    N = 14
    A = 1
    S = 19
    H = 8

    SUM = 89

    So let’s get the 2 letters that is related to each other. I picked B and G because 116 (the total number of the members of all the tribes) – 89 = 27

    So if B = 2 and G = 7 and B and G are the answers.

    This explanation also complies the hint on number 11 which is ABC is equal to 123

    10. Thomas Knoll has a Clever Mind
    T = 20
    H = 8
    O = 15
    M = 13
    A = 1
    S = 19

    K = 11
    N = 14
    O = 15
    L = 12
    L = 12

    SUM = 140

    140 is still related to 2 and 7. If we consider tip #6 and #7. It states that Do the math and we can use a calculator. Let’s emit zero in 140. Why did we emit zero? Because it is said in hint #13 that:

    If you’re from the stone age, you cannot answer this puzzle

    So zero doesn’t exist in the stone age, based on the history of zero: By the middle of the 2nd millennium BC (this is after the stone age), the Babylonian mathematics had a sophisticated sexagesimal positional numeral system. The lack of a positional value (or zero) was indicated by a space between sexagesimal numerals. By 300 BC, a punctuation symbol (two slanted wedges) was co-opted as a placeholder in the same Babylonian system. In a tablet unearthed at Kish (dating from about 700 BC).

    I asked help from Google (Tip No. 8), that’s why I got the history.

    So obviously, this is not the stone age, but numbers already exist on the minds of the people on the stone age because they know how to count.

    So 14 is related to 2 and 7 because the product of 2 and 7 is 14. 2 = B and 7 = G

    So that explains the name of Thomas Knoll.

    Let’s go to the last hint:
    12. 570564 + 1

    570564 + 1 = 570565

    Let’s group all 5s. the numbers remaining are 7 6 5. Let’s eliminate zero (to apply the stone age hint)

    So the remaining numbers are 7, 6, and 5.

    In order to get 2 let’s subtract 5 from 7. Now we have 2.

    In order to get 7, let’s add 1 to 6.. now we have 7.

    So why did I get the difference between 7 and 5? And added 1 to 6?

    I applied tip no. 2. Be Clever. That’s why I’m being clever. Hehe

    Sana tama to kuya :mrgreen:

  6. The answer is A and D (I used is because I am only referring to one set of answer).

    Tribes A & D (I am now referring to two tribes) are different from the others because they are the tribes that match most of the hints.

    9. John Nash has a Beautiful Mind
    —-HINT # 11. A = 1, B = 2, C = 3. Using the pattern, if you get the sum of each letter of John Nash, you will get 89. Considering 89 as an array of characters (sa Java o C), the character on index 0 (first index) is 8 and the character on index 1 (second index) is 9. 8 is the number of members of tribe D whilst 9 naman sa tribe A.

    10. Thomas Knoll has a Clever Mind

Lumabas nanaman ang mahiwagang A at ang mahiwagang D.

    Brb…

  12. Here is mine.

    Answer: I and F
    Explanation: I and F are the only 2 boxes that has the same and exact arrangement of stickmen. Parang xerox copy silang dalawa, while the others are not totally the same. Besides, the word IF are mostly on the hints that you mentioned.

    I hope I am correct, kasi nagkandaduling ang lolo mo sa katititg e.

  13. nyahahaha ito na po sagot ko Kua Jehz hala 😳 kahit mali okay lang at least I tried my best 😀 TIRA TIRA!! 😆

    ANSWER: G and M
    EXPLANATION:

    Hint:ABC is equal to 123
    First I tried to add
    ABC=23
    DEF=23
    GHI=22
    JKL=23
    MNO=25

    Kung mapapansin kakaiba ung GHI at MNO sa iba so inisip ko kung ano dapat number ang dapat ibawas at idagdag para maging equal to 23 din tulad sa iba 😀

    Sinearch ko sa google si John Nash ahahaha nakita ko birthdate nea 13 so tinugma ko ung 13 at tumugma sa M eh yung M nasa MNO ahahaha lol!

    M (Mind) ahahah!! 😆

    Hint: 570564 + 1

    6+1=7 lol tinugma ko ulit at napunta sa (G) napagtanto ko rin ung G ay kabilang sa GHI so napili ko sea.

    Naging kakaiba yung tribe G and M kasi kpag minus 1 si M magiging 23 na yung MNO tapos u 1 na minus iadd sea sa G para maging 23 rin ang GHI lol!

    ay nakuh nahihilo ako ahahaah ewan kung tama ito naguguluhan ako sa sagot ko ahahaha!! 😳 teka isip ulit ahahahaha 😛 😀

  14. amf eto ang malufet na hula :mrgreen:

    ANSWER: A and M
    EXPLANATION:
    A & M are different kc they are the only tribes with most number of people (9 the rest are 7 or 8.
    and they are related kc when you add (B+c=14) and (N+O=16) so both even numbers the rest is 15 which is an odd number (E+F=15), (H+I=15), (K+L=15)

    eto ginamit ko table nyahahaha
    1A = 9 23
    2B = 7
    3C = 7 14

    4D = 8 23
    5E = 8
    6F = 7 15

    7G = 7 22
    8H = 8
    9I = 7 15

    10J = 8 23
    11K = 8
    12L = 7 15

    13M = 9 25
    14N = 8
    15O = 8 16
    yun lng wala lng ako magawa! hahaha 😈

  15. Answer: H and O

    Explanation:
    Eto lang ang tribe na hindi lumagpas sa box, and even thou hindi pareho layout nila, equal naman ang number ng characters, kumbaga same characters iba lang ang pagkakalagay.

  16. ANSWER: K and N
    EXPLANATION:

    Same number of blue stickman, aalmost same position. why they are related? parang film yan, FRAME K, yan yung first picture then nung hinagis ng dalawang blue stickman yung isang nila kasama, nasalo ng dalwang stickman sa likod. LOL, kaya pag tinignan nyo sa FRAME N, nasalo na ng nasa likod. Pero bago nila hinagis yung kasama nila, nag bilang pa sila ng 123 para meron coordination. hahaha

  17. Answer: A and M
    Explanation: dadalawa lang 9, the rest are 7 and 8. pag kinonvert sa alphabet, 9 = i natatanging vowel

    2nd Answer: J and O
    Explanation: Kasi sa ibang tribes, distributed evenly ung mga tao. Sa J and O, medyo obvious na isiniksik mo mga tao sa taas instead of just 4 up 4 down. Maluwang pa kasi ung sa baba. Hehe!

    un lang po!

  18. ANSWER: J and N
    EXPLANATION:
    if ABC is equal to 123:
    ABC = 977
    DEF = 887
    GHI = 787
    JKL = 887
    MNO = 988

    How it was group per box:
    ABC = 544343
    DEF = 444443
    GHI = 434443
    JKL = 534443
    MNO = 545362

    To choose which 2 groups from the 15 tribes:
    by elimination there are two tribes that have the same number by group per box these letters are A and M, the next group are J and N.

    By comparing:
    I choose J and N because they have common distribution of stickman per group 5 sa taas 3 sa ibaba. Tagalugin ko na… ang ibig sabihin pareho ang taba, laki at bilang, although may pagkakaiba sila sa isang posisiyon ng stickman pero balanse parin ang timbang. Hindi katulad ng ibang magkakapareho letters tulad ng F,I,L malaki ang pagkakaiba ng posisyon sa loob ng tribe. Meron nasa bandang ibaba na, naka gitna o medyo nasa taas. Compare nyo at kayo ang maghusga.

  19. Answer: F and M

    Reason:

    ALL the hints were taken into consideration. I noticed that hints #6 and #13 have a unique number of syllables in them (12 and 14 respectively).

    Since ABC is equal to 123, then 6=F and 13=M.

    wahehehe… yan ang una kong sagot… isip muna ako for my next entry… in fairness… napapaisip ako…

  20. Pasubok ulit … 😕

    ANSWER: A and M
    EXPLANATION:
    1st, the similarity. Both A and M both have 9 blue stickman. And they are the only 2 tribes that equivalents to 9 blue stickman.

    2nd, how are they different from the other tribes. A and M is not composed of blue stickman of the same shapes. Let me explain this further. Let’s take all the tribes that have 7 blue stickman. They are actually identical with one another because they are all composed of exactly the same shapes of blue stickman and are only positioned differently per tribe. This condition also applies to all the tribes that have 8 blue stickman. But apparently, this condition is NOT met in the 2 tribes with 9 blue stickman — A and M.

    I’ve also noticed that the tribes that have 8 blue stickman are actually composed of the exact shapes from the tribes that have 7 blue stickman + 1 more shape. I thought that in order to find the 2 tribes that are different from the others, that I should find what’s common in all 13 tribes. In short, all tribes (except A and M) have 7 identical blue stickman shapes.

    Haha! Sana tama! ➡

    Connection of hints …

    Hint nos. 1 to 7 are self-explanatory.

    Hint no. 8 – Discern past from the present and vice versa.
    I figured this pertains to the previous IQ test. In that puzzle, a 9th blue stickman is absent. In the recent puzzle, a 9th blue stickman is present.

    Let me explain hint nos. 9 to 12 together since they are related to one another. If we total the letter equivalent of the name John Nash = 125, and Thomas Knoll = 89. We add 1 to each total taking hint no. 12 into consideration. Hence the following:

    John Nash = 125 + 1 = 126
    Thomas Knoll = 89 + 1 = 90

    We further add the new total digits to get a single digit number. Both names will give 9 as the answer. 2 names equivalating to 9. 2 tribes with 9 blue stickman.

    I don’t know if this is also connected but John Nash is known as a mathematician and Thomas Knoll is best known for developing Photoshop. This puzzle involves math and editing shapes. (Jehz, sa photoshop mo ba ginagawa tong puzzles? Hehe!)

    Anyway, as for the last hint – If you’re from the stone age, you cannot answer this puzzle. No technology yet, therefore, no computer. Eh according to Jehz, without a computer, you can’t answer this puzzle.

    Nyarks! Nobela na to!

    Good luck to everyone!

    😕

  21. here’s my second answer:

    ANSWER: A and M
    EXPLANATION:
    Based on hints…

  23. ANSWER: F AND I
    EXPLANATION:
    BASED SA HINTS

    HINT 13 = WALANG COMPUTER SA STONE AGE AND UL NID A PC TO ANSWER THE TEST OR TO SUBMIT UR ANSWERS.

    HINT 12 = 570564 + 1 MEANS YOUR ‘ABNORMAL’ THINKING PLUS 1 GIVES U THE ABILITY TO SOLVE THE TEST.
    (IQ TEST NGA EH, SO DAPAT SPECIAL AND DAPAT AANGAT KA SA IBANG ANSWERS PARA MANALO [SO DAPAT PLUS 1 KA PARATI!])

    HINT 11 = ABC = 123
    F = 6
    I = 9

    HINT 9 AND 10 = CLEVER MIND AND BEAUTIFUL MIND
    DISREGARD MIND = CLEVER AND BEAUTIFUL
    CLEVER = 6 LETTERS
    BEAUTIFUL = 9 LETTERS
    SO BASED SA HINT #11 ABC = 123
    F AND I = 6 AND 9

    HINT 8 = DISCERN PAST FROM THE PRESENT AND VICE VERSA
    (DAPAT VICE VERSA. AND IF BALIKTARIN MO UNG F AND I UL GET THE WORD IF)

    *WITH THE WORD ‘IF’ MA SATISFY MO NA LAHAT NG HINTS NA MAY IF.(SPECIFICALLY HINTS NUMBER 1 – 7)

    HEHEHE… SANA SAKTO HULA KO KUYA JHEZ…^^

  26. ANSWER: M and B
    EXPLANATION: Because M and B, each has a one different blue man. Specifically a #0738CC shade of blue. Others are colored in a #0537CD shade of blue, same with the other blue stickman tribes.

    In addition, M has 9 members, same as A but since M has the one #0738CC. M is unique.

    B has 7 members, same with some of the tribes. But with the one #0738CC shade, B is unique.

    H and D also, has one #0738CC in each. But they also have the same number of members. That makes them not unique.

  27. Hi Jehz, it’s my time to answer your puzzle! I hope I will also pass the mensa exam 😎

    Answer: A & M

    Explanation: It is because they are the only ones with no “small blue stick man on the right position”. The small blue stick man that I’m referring to is the 4th blue stick man on letter B counting from left to right on top. They are all in the same position except for letters A & M.

    • Hi Jehz, it’s my time to answer your puzzle! I hope I will also pass the mensa exam 😎

      Answer: A & M
      Explanation: It is because they are the only ones with no “small blue stick man on the right position”. The small blue stick man that I’m referring to is the 4th blue stick man on top of all the letters EXCEPT for letters A & M. They have a common factor though – they contain both 9 blue stick men.

  28. I am back. I am here to add more information to support my previous answer.

    Answer: I and F
    Explanation: I and F are the only 2 boxes that are exactly the same. Both boxes have 7 stickmen each, and have exactly the same position and location. They’re like photocopies of each other. Other boxes are somehow different from each other.

    For the hints given, numbers 1 to 7 and 13 contains the word IF as the first word.
    Hint 8: Discern past from the present and vice versa. John Nash is the past, while Thomas Knoll is the present.
    Hint 9: John Nash has a Beautiful Mind (Beautiful has 9 letters or letter F)
    Hint 10: Thomas Knoll has a Clever Mind (Clever has 6 letters or letter I)
    Hint 11: ABC is 123. This is what I used for hints 9 and 10.
    Hint 12: 570564 + 1 = 570565. If you will Google 570565, a site called Blingee has your blue stickman with glitters. Blingee has 7 letters, in which boxes I and F has also 7 stickmen each.

    I hope I made it.

  29. Answer: D & E
    Explanation:They(D&E) both have the same number of big headed bluestickman ang small-headed bluestickman. Each of them has 7 big-headed bluestickman ang 1 small-headed bluestickman. Which makes a total of 8 stickmen each. THe stickmen from D have the same position and figure with those of the stickmen from E.
    Hehehe…try ko lang… 😉

  32. I think I’ve figured the answer to this (maybe, 95% maybe) but I will send the answer when I have figured the answer to the other puzzle. 🙂

  33. Here’s my first answer:

    ANSWER: B and C
    REASON: Because only B and C have 2 pairs of mirrored images and the bottom images mirror each other’s position. Pls check the image at http://picasaweb.google.com/ceefive67/BlueStickmen#5308602243676950690 for a clearer understanding of what I meant.

    The clues:
    – Beautiful Mind and Clever Mind have the same mind yet one is B and the other is C.
    – 570564 + 1 simply means just add one and you get the next tribe. If ABC is 123, 2+1=3; B+1=C.
    – 570565 = 570565: same stickman images in both tribes; they’re similar but subtle (2 mirrored images per tribe); both 7 stickmen.
    – History: the name of the other guy again? John Nash, a math genius. You need to count.
    – Thomas Knoll: take a closer look at the images.
    – if you are from stone age, you don’t know how to google Nash and Knoll.
    – don’t print the screen; print the image (which you can scale) to see details.
    – intransitive verb: to practice wisdom?
    All the rest are self-explanatory like being blind prevents you from solving, etc.

    Now I’m going to try the next puzzle.

  34. Here’s my first ANSWER TO BS2:

  35. A and M Are unique because they are the only ones with 9 members and also if you put the images in front of the other you get the perfect mirror image.
