Increase Your Adsense Earnings by Increasing Your Pageviews
I have noticed that my Adsense earnings increased as my number of page views increased. Today, I will give you a very short tip of how to increase the number of pageviews from the images in your blog posts. I know a lot already knew about this, but I’m just assuming that somebody here in the blogosphere doesn’t know about this 1 image to 1 page view increase technique.
If you’ve noticed my “The Forbidden Kingdom” post, you’ll see that I have thumbnails of character posters of the said movie. If you click a specific thumbnail, the link will direct you to a new page containing the full size of the image, thus giving you a unique pageview for that page. If you have a lot of images, for instance 20 thumbnail images in one post, and all of those images are going to be clicked by a unique visitor, then you’ll have twenty unique pageviews from one post. Now that’s a lot of pageviews from a single post that you have which include the pages that are linked to it.
So how will this increase your earnings? By placing Adsense on your page template, you’ll have an Ad displayed for each page which will increase your Adsense hit, at the same time increase your CTR, because there are chances that your ads displayed on the page where the full size image was can be clicked by a unique visitor. A unique ad will be displayed based on your page title and some text from the page, that’s why if the reader is interested of the image, and Adsense displayed a related advertisement for that specific image, then you’ll have more than 50% chance of your ads getting clicked. That’s why this method will increase your earnings.

As you can see, my Adsense ads are the most clicked links in my blog, because of this method that I have applied for the past 4 days in some of my old blog posts. I’m just playing around with it if it will increase my pageviews and earnings.
You can compare this by using the traditional method of linking an image to your post. That old method will waste a lot of pageviews based on my experience. A lot of users intend to click a specific image in your post to view the full size of it. They click it for 2 main reasons. The image in your post was not that clear to them, that’s why they are expecting for it to be zoomed in once they click it. The other reason was they just want to click the image because they are curious where is the image linked, or what will happen if they click the image. Now that’s 3 reasons technically. Hehehe.
I have 2 examples below of displaying your image in a smart way (which will increase your Adsense earings) and in a lazy way ( which will waste a unique click from your image)

This “scheme” will only work if and only if you are widely read, and at the same time, you have first-timers visitors on your site and who don’t have any idea where to go and will click on the first link they will see. The bottomline, still, has got something to do with SEO and ranking for that post (with images) first, no to mention having Quality posts to begin with. You cannot get a SIGNIFICANTLY higher number of page views if you don’t have many visitors in the first place. No significant increase in page views equals no significant increase in Adsense.
And Jehz, aren’t you taking too much from the readers with this scheme? This is bordering on exploitation, IMHO.
Question for those who will retort to this comment:
How many of you, who are regular readers of Jehzeel, actually clicked on his Adsense? Anyone? Would you click on his thumbnails and click on his ads next?

@Dark Knight - di ko naman sinasabi na ma ciclick talaga, there are chances lang na may mag click ng ads, at may increase ang page views pag e CLICK ang image. masasayang lang kasi pag hindi naka lagay sa page…
Kahit di ka widely read, basta may mag click ng image, dagdag page view na yun, e kompara mo sa may mag click ng image tapos naka point lang sa source ng image, at pag may mag view, wasted na yung UV na yun…
Hindi naman ako nag tatake too much advantage from my readers with this scheme. Way ko lang yun sa pag lagay ng image, di naman yun nakaka abuso sa mga readers, parang source lang din ng image gaya ng ibang blog, ang kaibahan lang nasa page yung image, pero yun parin ang dating nun, pag e click ang thumbnail, ma zozoom in ang image, pero nasa separate page, not the image file itself…

There are chances lang talaga.. not 100% na may mag click.
So to answer this question:
How many of you, who are regular readers of Jehzeel, actually clicked on his Adsense? Anyone? Would you click on his thumbnails and click on his ads next?
I think sa mga regular readers ko, only 0.1% ang nag ciclick, or less, kasi nag dedepende ako sa mga unique visitors ko na naghahanap ng “SOMETHING” kaya na ciclick nila yung ads, kasi yun yung something na hina hanap nila.
If regular reader ka dito, or isa ka sa 1000+ subscribers ko, maliit lang ang chance na mag ciclick ka ng advertisement, unless super duper hyper mega interested ka sa ad na yun, wala akong magagawa na pigilan kang e click yun, click it at your own risk. hehehe.

I don’t think Jehz disputes the fact that QUALITY content is necessary. I myself have been holding that belief since I started doing websites. But, Jehz’s point here is simpy about increasing pageviews — and it works!
No, I don’t click on his ads because I’m Adsense-blind. But, I do click on his thumbnails to see the images more clearly.

tamad ako, kaya hindi ko na lang nililink yung image. hahaha. ang ginagawa ko dati, nasa photoblog ko sa blogspot yung original image, dun ko nililink kung gusto izoom. tadtad din syempre ng ads yung photoblog ko. pero matagal ko nang tinigil yun. ewan, tinatamad lang talaga. hehe.
