What’s the best Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the Philippines?
Ok, I’ve been offline for 2 days straight “AGAIN” because of Smart Bro’s Awesome Internet Connection and I can’t blame myself of choosing it as my ISP due to the fact that I already knew that it really sucks, still, I made my dumb choice to go for Smart Bro.

All Internet Service Providers had their own “Negative Reviews” that’s why I can’t decide myself which of them is better than the other. I only know few ISPs here in the Philippines (excluding Smart Bro): Globelines Broadband, SkyBroadband,Sky Cable’s ZPDee, Sky Internet, DigitelOne DSL, Bayantel DSL, Meridian Telekoms Broadband and PLDT MyDSL.
What I’m trying to do now is to solicit comments from you, my dear readers, of what’s the best Internet Service Provider in the Philippines from your own experience because I’m planning to dump Smart Bro and move to a brand new ISP after suffering internet havoc for 48 hours straight.
Hoping to hear from you guys…
UPDATE 07/27/09: Here’s a top 10 list of Internet Service Providers in the Philippines based on SpeedTest.net. I can only name two commercial ISPs in the screenshot below: Sky Broadband and Sky Internet (I’m not sure if these two are now merged. Others also said that Sky Internet is the same with Bayan DSL). Most of the ISPs in the list are private. If you’re a DOST employee, you’re very lucky to experience the fastest upload and download speed in the Philippines. Here’s the screenshot of the Top 10 ISPs:

I already tried many ISP’s here in the Philippines. Let me share some knowledge for you people what ISP to choose.
Smart Bro - Pinaka worst na ISP umulan man o umaraw walang improvements!! ANTHENA kc!! PINAKA BULOK SA MGA BULOK to promise
Sky Broadband (Zpdee) & Destiny- Kakapakabit ko lng last month ng SKY and ngayon nagsisi nq. mabilis cya pag offpeak meaning 1am - 8am… Pang adik tong sky broadband.. Sira ulo gumawa nito LOPEZ ikaw un.. ayusin mo yang ISP nyo.. masyadong bulok.. Maganda lng kayo sa SURFING.. pero sa lahat wala na… prang DIAL UP na.. Gaming, downloding, p2p pinaka worst!! Customer Service PINKA BAD AT BULOK!! Ayusin mu sKY mo lopez SAYO pa nman ang MERALCO!!
Globe broadband wired - Good in downloading, gaming, p2p, surfing & video streaming. Pero pag nag ka problem nman sakit sa ulo.. lagi sila may SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT tang inang yan d na natapos ung SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT na yan.. Forever nba yan? Customer service.. VER BAD!!
PLDT my DSL - The best ISP. very stable cya.. walang peak/offpeak hours.. kung ano ang speed mo consistent cya d cya nag babago.. best for GAMING.. and Good sa surfing downloading lahat lahat na!! d cya ganun ka bilis pero consistency ng connection ang pinag uusapan nten d2.. kaya PLDT na lng kau 1mbps and above.. ung below 1mbps wag na yun may nadidinig aq mabagal 300+kbps and 512kbps… Kung kaya nyo mag 1mbps UN NA LNG. LESS HEADACHE..
peace

I just think that the Philippines is so under developed that our internet sucks. Also, i also think that the skycable people are losers because they say it give 12 mbps but it only give like 10 kbps this really pisses me off

i was actually looking for an isp na mabailis UPLOAD speed. because i wanted to host a FREE online games. Bayantels 786kbps get 80kBps ul transfer rate. i just don’t know if increases with the plan of 2mbps kung magiging 200kBps ang ul. but i doubt it kasi adsl ang actual connection type nila. yung naman skybroadband `12/1 ang pinakamataas na plan for P6000 a month. that would mean na 100kBps lang ul speed. yung pldt may inoffer sa parang server services but P18000 a month at i need a business license to get it.
in short i just want a connection type (residential) which can gice me the highest upload speed possible.

wag kayong mag subscribe sa smart bro. currently a smart bro user. during peak hours around 10am-10pm my internet speed is usually 50-200kbps whilst their commercial is about 2mbps. kayo lng ang binobobo ng smart bro. to check how ur connection is unstable. go to command prompt and ping yahoo.com -t or any website. if you see request timed out alot means you got shitty connection. you can also try at 2wire.com or testmy.net for your speedtest. they are very accurate and most likely same result. guys dont be deceive with their commercial. ITS ALL LIES. i wanna sue them actually coz im an online gamer particularly wow( world of warcraft) and i cant even connect properly. so yeah its CRAPbro or FAILbro.

can u read my post properly? it was the commercial of smart pro says that their latest plan is burst speed of 2mbps. are you even a smart bro subscriber or r u defending them in behalf? u r not experiencing what i encounter right now so wag mo ako pag sabihan ng tanga! do u even go to school? how dare u talk dirty to anyone without knowing the whole reason? seriously son “U READ UR COMMENT BEFORE YOU POST IT”.
i just called them recently and said that they upgraded my plan999 from 384kbps to 1mbps. the new subscribers will be having 2mbps and a contract of 2years.
yes i play wow(world of warcraft) and not knowing that ill be having this kind of unstable connection with smart bro. nag post ako para indi makipag away kundi mag express sa situation ko ok? so get lost.
