If you’re looking for ISP comparison in the Philippines, then this post is for you. I’ve been offline for 2 days straight “AGAIN” because of Smart Bro’s Awesome Internet Connection and I can’t blame myself of choosing it as my ISP due to the fact that I already knew that it really sucks, still, I made my dumb choice to go for Smart Bro.
All Internet Service Providers had their own “Negative Reviews” that’s why I can’t decide myself which of them is better than the other. I only know few ISPs here in the Philippines (excluding Smart Bro): Globelines Broadband, SkyBroadband,Sky Cable’s ZPDee, Sky Internet, DigitelOne DSL, Bayantel DSL, Meridian Telekoms Broadband and PLDT MyDSL.
What I’m trying to do now is to solicit comments from you, my dear readers, of what’s the best Internet Service Provider in the Philippines from your own experience because I’m planning to dump Smart Bro and move to a brand new ISP after suffering internet havoc for 48 hours straight.

UPDATE 07/27/09: Here’s a top 10 list of Internet Service Providers in the Philippines based on SpeedTest.net. I can only name two commercial ISPs in the screenshot below: Sky Broadband and Sky Internet (I’m not sure if these two are now merged. Others also said that Sky Internet is the same with Bayan DSL). Most of the ISPs in the list are private. If you’re a DOST employee, you’re very lucky to experience the fastest upload and download speed in the Philippines. mas ok kung meron acces ang IpV6! nung unang labas ng sun ay meron ditong signal maliban sa IpV4. ang singapore ay meron silang 9 na sattelite samantalang napakaliit lang nito kumpara na pinas, at nawala pa yata sa kalawakan yung isang sattelite natin? di na raw makita?
There is no BETTER ISP as of now in the PH. It all depends upon the BUNDLE (plan) and your LOCATION. i have been switching from ISP’s to ISP’s but all are the same. before they give you a connection they would survey your location first if it would reach their range of service.
“AFTER SALE” is what i usually look for an Internet Service Provider. Meaning how good their service AFTER they’ve convince you with all their promises that there is guaranteed speed of at least 3/4 your plan, or how they handle customer complains.
If you can afford it look for CABLE Internet, OPTIC FIBER Connection or Business Plan.. but as usual these type of connections have a great deal of price attached..
bottom line is.. survey your area first before considering a Plan with an ISP.

i got 5mbps using globe sa davao city area. super fast! and this is just a tethered internet using my android phone
I’ve been a Sky Broadband user for the longest time i think we had this connection for 2 or 3 years now. I had no problems with it and quite happy with its service until recently. as of the past month the connection is super slow! you can compare it to the dial-up connection of the olden days. feeling ko naka-Blast Internet card ako.
i tried calling their customer support, they told me that there are no problems sa connection then i tried the speed test. funny thing is when i use the speedtest.net it gives me a good number that is the same as my connection speed which is 1.5mbps. though when im using it to browse sites and stream videos it takes forever! esp when im downloading files. the transfer speed that i get is only at around 30kbps unlike before that my transfer speeds averages at 160-170kbps. annoying talaga! is there a better connection out there for Q.C. area?
Grabe! Nagpost ako dito kelan lang and I said perwisyo yung ISP na nakuha ko, yung Smart Broke! Last year lang bago magtapos ang 2012, I switched na to Sky Broadband… 3mbps plan kinuha ko. Ang ganda saka very fast sa browsing & downloading. Tapos may 15-Day Free Trial pa sila! Sobrang tuwa ko kasi akala ko natagpuan ko na yung pinakabest na ISP sa area namin… lintek pagdating ng 2013, bumagal yung net!!! Ang pinakamalala pa nito is huli na ng madiscover ko na MAHINA sya sa ONLINE GAMES!!! Lagi ako naddc… nakakaiyak sa sobrang frustration! Everytime I call their hotline, lagi sabi nung automated machine “All Agents are busy now…” Ilang weeks ng puro ganun! Sa email nagtry din ako pero lagi sinasabi ginagawa na daw ng paraan kaso anong petsa na… wala pa rin nangyayari. Sabog pa rin ang connection. Hayyy PLDT next ko papakabit after n2 Sky Broadband… sakit sa bangs!!!
Wah I just checked PLDT’s FB page… andaming nagrereklamo na mga customers! Anu ba yan… wala na bang matino na ISP sa Pinas? Kakaloka grabe haha
Perwisyo talaga ang SmartBro so I switched to Globe Tattoo (modem), but after a year nagpapakita na ng disconnection (kahit cleared na cache). Take note mga kababayan, the monthly internet connection in UK is less P1000 and THEY ENJOYED WHOPPING 8-12Mbps SPEED. No hassle & no interruption, ganun din daw sa ibang bansa sa Europe. Lipat na lang tayo?

getting out of bayandsl puro manloloko from csr to tech nagpa-upgrade aq from 1mbps to 1.5mbps ginawa ata 56k dial up message to all bayantel staff umpisahan nyo na maghanap ng ibang trabaho dahil dito sa espana sampaloc bayandsl subcriber kami ngayon bayan basura nakayo lhat kami wala n plano bayaran mga bills namin dahil sa palpak na serbisyo nyo.
