downloaded game , copied it to card but get error message ” the data could not be accessed .power off the ds ”

@babyboo - I think you don’t have an R4DS… you should have one to be able to play these free NDS games..

thanks , its definately an r4 (new and boxed when i bought it). I have other games on the card that I have downloaded (brain training , suite life etc) but don’t know why some games don’t work.I am not very tekkie so maybe if don’t work I have just assumed its something in the download or within the ds settings but its just guesswork to me.

@babyboo - maybe the game you’ve downloaded was corrupt.. hehe.. try to download another game, or maybe you don’t have the latest kernel for your R4DS..
what games did you download here does not work? all games? or some games? so that I can check it on my end.
There are also times that the games downloaded are not complete, and the status says that it’s complete. Try downloading it again, and compare how many bytes are there in the first one that you’ve downloaded and the second one.
If the second one is greater, then the first one maybe corrupted. You can download the game again and try. If you’ve seen errors, just post it here again and let’s see what I can do…

you are an absolute star , I have downloaded charlottes web and mario kart from you and they are fab. cannot play cookin mama 2 or mario olympics from your downloads.
one question whats a kernel - can I update to a latest version (is it easy ?)

@babyboo - a kernel is a component for NDS composed of data files that can let you play NDS ROMS.
or free NDS Games through your R4DS or any Slot 1 Solutions.

This is the first one I have ever done I managed alright and the gameplays but it is not in english. Can you change the language anyway on the ds or is it justthe game is in a differnet language - please can you help - thanks

I d/l cooking mama2. But when I put the file into my R4 card, it states that: Data not found. Restart/re-insert your ds card.

hii.. hii.. i also got the same error.. it says “Data cant be accessed. Power off the ds and re-insert your ds card. ”
i got the cooking mama 2 and some other games from my friends, and are all working well except for cooking mama 2. i tried downloading from different site and putting in, but it seems that the same error occurs.
what do i do? can anyone tell me? i just bought my ds. and all free games are working fine.. and able to play..

for some reason, when i download cooking mama 1 and 2, it says it cannot find the file, to close nds and re-insert R4, which i do, but still doesnt work. cooking mama 2 is in spanish, but i guess it basically says the same, help?

Cooking Mama 2 doesn’t work for me either. I just get a white screen (I have a Cyclos Evo)
I tried downloading off another site, but the same thing happened. T.T so sad
