The Best and Most Memorable Blogger Event in the Philippines!

WordCamp Philippines 2008 is the best, most prestigious and most memorable blogger event in the Philippines so far! That’s what I think… and I do hope that you agree with me. Because if you don’t, use IE! Hahaha!

First of all, kudos to La Salle – College of St. Benilde for accommodating the Campers, Volunteers, Organizers (Mindanao Bloggers) and all of the participants of the said event. Thanks to Matt Mullenweg for coming to the Philippines (This is the first country in Asia that Matt visited and we were so proud and happy that… he was proud and happy also! Yay!) and….. thanks to all of our sponsors for making this event possible!

A snapshot of something with human beings, a volume control device (or what do you call that?) and a laptop. That’s my very first picture and I can’t think what to post as of now that’s why I uploaded this image. Yiheee!

The good thing about WordCamp is learning more about the world famous WordPress! How to create WP Plugins and Themes, How to optimize your WP Blog using different WP Plugins, How to use WP as CME/CMS, Video Blogging with WordPress, Creating a Blogging Community, How to create a blog using WordPress, New features of the upcoming WordPress 2.7 and a whole lot more regarding WordPress! Another good thing about WordCamp 2008 is meeting new friends, chatting with them without using IMs, and taking pictures with them! Yiheeeeeeee!

Some pictures of me and my new blogger friends during WordCamp Philippines 2008.

With Hannah Rika Villasis of FlairCandy.com. The girl who invited me to join ShoutOut Lounge (A Cool Malaysian Live Chatroom and Community). I also learned a lot about Nuffnang through her before it arrived in the Philippines!

With Sabrina Lajara (The Youngest Photoshop Genius that I’ve known online… and offline. See her works at digdesignz.net and you’ll be astounded!) and Ada Lajara (Sabrina’s older sister. Another clever Photoshop artist. Visit her new blog at adaphobic.com) of the famous VixenArt.net!

The Last Birds of WordCamp Philippines 2008: Gwen Nava, Micaela Rodriguez, Fitz Villafuerte, Jonel Uy, Chiq Montes, and Paul Villacorta. I tell you, these guys are fun to be with! We took the LRT > MRT > Bus route to Bonifacio High Street for the WordCamp after-party. We almost got stuck inside MRT because we’ve talked a lot about driving traffic to blogs, link building, etc. We never realized that we were at our destination. Haha!
