Updates on 2016 Olympics

The announcement time of the 2016 Olympics host city is almost here. Everybody is eager to know and so excited about this news! Who will be the 2016 Olympics host city? Will it be Chicago, Tokyo, Rio Del Janeiro, or Madrid?

Reports say, the announcement is scheduled to take place on October 2, 2009, just before 12:00 PM Chicago time. If want to be the first to hear the official announcement from the International Olympics Committee, here are a few points of interest: Daley Plaza downtown, John G. Shedd Aquarium, Washington Park on South Side and at Silver Cross Field in Joliet. But if you don’t want to go out and you wish to just watch it on TV, here are the channels that will cover the announcement around 1:30 AM: Channels 2, 5, 7, 9 and 32.

UPDATE 12:33 AM: Chicago and Tokyo was eliminated. Will it be Madrid or Rio de Janeiro? Let’s find out after 5 minutes!

UPDATE 12:45 AM: Rio de Janeiro will be the host of the 2016 Summer Olympics! Congratulations to Brazil!
