My bet for the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2008
After 199,203,405,402,632,624,753 seconds of brainstorming with myself, I have come up with a list of my bet for the top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2008! Ten Ten teren teren!!! or… Terereren reren! or simply.. Chere rerenreren!!! Hahaha! Sorry for that. Here they are…
1. The Woobie Kind of Love – Started last August 2007 and quickly gained popularity after a few days of blogging. The blogger behind this site was a learning-addict with eclectic opinions. A Filipina. A big-hearted Feminist-turned Mother who writes about love & relationships, lifestyle, culture, trends, astrology, tarot and palmistry. It’s game over for this domesticated single girl, and she uses this blog to TELL all. She was known in the blogosphere as the Evil Woobie.
2. Missing Carlo – Started last February 2008. This blog was created by a devoted sister named Mica as a tribute to her brother who has autism. They were inseparable and just last February, Carlo went to England to study and live a better life with their mother. She misses her brother and she decided to launch this blog to share her own experiences – the joys, the pains, the hardships and the happiness of living with someone “special”.
3. PRC Board Exam Results – We all know that it’s influential. Hehehe. For just a few months it gained more than 25,000+ Subscribers (both RSS and SMS), 20,000+ post comments, with an average of 10,000 unique visitors daily, and transferred from more than 5 servers already because it was always down. That only proves that it was really influential. Nyay!
4. You Got Tech – This one was influential too! A Tech-blog for Non-techies and for techies perhaps. Started last December 2007, this blog gained popularity because of the people behind it (That was already popular in the blogging industry) and their very helpful and useful articles for non-techies (Like me). As of writing this post, they currently have 12 episodes of tech tips and tricks.
5. Techy Kid – Another Influential Blog for me and maybe for you. If you want tech tips from a techy kid with a techy mind, this blog is a must-see.
6. Visit Sagada – Started last January 2008, this blog quickly gained popularity because of the people behind it who created their very own “Visit Sagada” stickers which was indeed a great medium to increase readers and traffic. Nahhh… it was really popular because of how they present the place called Sagada as one of the best tourism spots in the Philippines.
7. Phil Debate – Started last April 2008, this blog was launched to serve as a one-stop-shop for tournament updates, announcements, results and tabs on the Philippine debating industry.
8. Davao Delicious – If you love food, you’ll love this blog. It’s all about the yummiest and tastiest food in the South. Davao restaurant guide, food reviews, and anything that is related to Davao delicacies.
9. Work With Ria – ahmmm? Hehehe… I love this blog. I really love this blog! Really, I love it. I really do. Even if it sounds sarcastic, it’s not. Because I really do love this blog. 
10. Mar Roxas for 2010 – We all know that it’s influential. It’s all about a young boy’s campaign for the 2010 Philippine President. If you haven’t heard about this blog yet, you are deaf. If you haven’t seen this blog yet, you are blind. And so on…
