Greenbelt 5 Bloggers’ Food Tour: A Lipton Food Odyssey

Jehzlau Food Blogger
I was so lucky to be invited in this awesome and scrumptious food odyssey sponsored by Lipton. The first stop in the food tour was Myron’s Place. Located at the ground floor of Greenbelt 5, Myron’s Place serves delectable delights that range from premium steaks and salads. For this particular night, Mushroom Crostini and Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp (definitely a must-try) was served to us together with a hot and delicious cup of Original Lipton Milk Tea. The original variant of Lipton Milk Tea has the perfect blend of milk and black tea, making it a great, light, and enjoyable drink.

“Tea is not just a ‘stand alone’ beverage that you sip between the meals,” says tour host Lily. “It is also a very versatile natural drink that goes perfectly well with food. Unlike coffee, tea naturally complements food by round off its flavors. Without smothering your appetite, tea fills those flavor gaps in a dish that if left unfulfilled, leaves you craving for more food. This satisfying property of tea, by itself makes it a healthier food accompaniment than water or even wine.”
Chateau 1771
A choice of Maple Glazed Black Cod with boursign (herbed cream) cheese potato gratin or Braised Beef Short Ribs with shallots and garlic was offered to the us when we arrived at Chateau 1771. This famed restaurant is known for its “no border” cuisine: mouthwatering innovations on well-loved Swiss, Italian, and French culinary concoctions that are simply divine on the taste buds. the flavors of the main course dishes that were served were further complemented by the sweetness of Lipton Milk tea Gold, which has a more robust flavor with a mix of premium black tea, generous amounts of milk, and sugar.
Classic Confections
The piece de resistance of the food tour was Classic Confections where we were treated to a rich array of sweet creations such as Nono’s chocolate oblivion, Banana crepe pie, Mini butter and chocolate cupcakes, Mango torte, and Opera torte. The tempting treats went perfectly with the soothing cup of hot Lipton Milk Tea Vanilla that was also served. The sweetness of the dessert and creaminess of the milk with a hint of vanilla in the Lipton Milk tea made it delectable combination to cap off a tummy fulfilling evening.

This was the best food tour that I joined so far because it was the only food tour that was really organized from start to end. This tour was also a surprise tour for us because we thought the who food odyssey will only take place at Myron’s, but we’re wrong! The last thing that made me happy was that my name was correctly spelled,hHehehe. Btw, you can view my crappy shots here. That’s all for now guys! Yay!

I would like to say Hi to the new blogger friends that I’ve I met during this awesome event: Hi Ferdz! Hi B’ley! Hehehe…

P.S.: This article was based on the Press Kit given to us after the event. πŸ™‚
