What’s the Best Antivirus Software?

So if your here to look for an honest to goodness review about the BEST Antivirus software out there, you’ve come to the right place! I will be reviewing such programs that I have used so far, and conclude what’s the best software for me, based on my experience. I have tried Norton Antivirus, McAfee Antivirus, AVG Antivirus, NOD 32 Antivirus, Sophos Antivirus, Trend Micro Antivirus and Kaspersky Antivirus Software.

» AVG Antivirus is the first antivirus software that I have used, because it’s free. But it’s not that powerful compared to other programs available. It detects virus, but its virus database is not that vast. It cannot detect other trojans, worms, and other viruses that can be detected by other antivirus software mentioned above.

» Trend Micro Antivirus is also a powerful Antivirus Software. It has a great firewall, but the adware blocker, and the anti-spam portion of this software is weak. Overall, it’s just an average antivirus software.

» Norton Antivirus is the most prominent Antivirus software out there, that’s why many not-so-unaware guys recommend this one. If they hear the word “Norton”, they will just say, “Oh yeah, it’s reliable, powerful, and worth-the-bucks”. But it seems not that powerful for me. Ahmm? It’s always updated, it detects a lot of the latest known viruses, but it slows down your PC. It scans every file that you open, and it contributes to slow down your work πŸ˜›

» McAfee Antivirus it’s almost similar to Norton Antivirus. Its virus database is always updated, and can detect almost all kinds of known viruses out there. But, it eats a lot of RAM. It slows down your PC, and scans pretty slow. For me, it’s just another average Antivirus software.

» Sophos Antivirus is not that popular, but it’s hidden powers are great. If you compare this to the two of the most popular Antivirus software in the world, McAfee and Norton, I would go for Sophos. It has an up-to-date virus database, and scans all your folders, it detects all viruses from tip to tip. But, if you compare this to NOD-32 and Kaspersky, it’s not that powerful to beat these two.

» NOD-32 Antivirus is one of the best Antivirus software out there. It’s very light. It doesn’t slow down your system, and it’s very strict in detecting viruses, trojans and worms. It has an up-to-date virus database, and you can surely rely on this stuff. Keylogs, spywares, and even the latest virus out there can be detected by NOD-32. It’s above all antivirus programs available, except for Kaspersky, because I love Kaspersky more than NOD-32. It competes with Kaspersky, but it has a far way to go to defeat Kaspersky.

» PCtools is one of the most trusted antivirus software you can buy. It is an award winning security and software for Windows computers. Go online and try their free antivirus software.

» Kaspersky Antivirus, one of the best Antivirus software invented by mankind. Naks!. For me, it’s the most reliable, fastest, and the most secure antivirus software that you can put your trust on. It can detect all kinds of viruses, compared to other popular antivirus programs. It’s very light and fast, and it won’t slow your computer a bit. It’s like you don’t have an antivirus software at all. If NOD-32 is the best antivirus software for you, this one is far way more better than it. I recommend this to all who are looking for the best and one-of-a-kind antivirus software. It’s really really really worth the bucks.

If you have a violent or kind reaction about my reviews, please don’t hesitate to leave me a comment. Hehehe.. That’s all. I hope you can find the best Antivirus software out there, because I already found one, and it’s Kaspersky

  1. OH YES! I so agree with you! Kaspersky is absolutely the BEST antivirus developed ever! I dunno why people are still sticking with the memory wabbling AVG or NOD32, or even the most popular Norton or McAfee. I have Kaspersky installed in my notebook and it just works.

  2. Panu ung ZoneAlarm Antivirus? They’re using na the Kaspersky anti-virus engine since the start of their new version 7.0. I’m using it btw. Orig kasi hack serial. wahaha. so far astig nman. wee!

    http://www.zonealarm.com/

    Happy Halloween na rin.

  3. I used Avast AntiVirus and Ad-Aware with Sygate Firewall for years.
Now Im using Bitdefender. Its my first all-in-one.
    Great Article by the way.

  4. Waaaaaaa, bakit wala ang Avast sa list! Pero hindi yun ang gamit ko, memory hog yun.

Personally, I use the not-so-well-known AntiVir by Alvil with Comodo Firewall. A strong firewall would be very helpful kahit weak ang antivirus.

  5. wala po ang Avast kasi di ko po pa na try gamitin.. yung mga nasa review ay yung mga nagamit ko lang.. hahahaha! sensya na sa di nabanggit πŸ˜›

  6. Is it limited to Anti Virus alone? I’m using Kaspersky Internet Security. The best in performance pero anlakas kumain ng resources. Hehehe

  7. can you also include a review for avast? πŸ˜€ kaspersky might be good, but the cost isn’t. and the fact that it’s like a subscription fee that you pay annually.
i’m not sure if there’s such a thing as “open source” anti-virus software (is AVG open-source?). but that is irrelevant if you’re going to use open-source OS’es like Ubuntu, Fedora (and other linux/unix based environments) for they have excellent security and hackers haven’t had much interest hacking open source OS.
great article by the way. keep it up! πŸ™‚

  8. The problem I see with Kaspersky is that its not a proactive detection antivirus software unlike NOD32 which strikes on virus/spywares before they can even reside on my system. I’ve been using NOD32 for almost 6 years na and my unit is practically virus free.

  9. This is an interesting breakdown of the many antivirus products out there.

McAfee, Symantec and others definitely aren’t as good as some of the other less well known names in proactive detection of unknown viruses. It would be good if we could see more antivirus tests examining detection of zero day attacks. Thanks

  10. nod32 doesn’t detect the “jaymyka virus”… only kaspersky detected it. unfortunately, kaspersky (and their non-blacklisted keys) is just too much. too much problems. too much memory. too much of a load for the computer to carry. nod32 has improved significantly though..

  11. This might be a little off subject, but have you looked at seoclientprospectingrobot dot com? Just wondering if you have any reviews of it, I’m thinking of buying a copy, and wanted to see if anyone had bought a copy yet.

  12. maybe you should try the paiid AVG software? I dunno. hehehe.. but i’m getting kaspersky.. justmaking sure that it’s one of the best out there.. apparently this article says it’s the best.. so one more point to get kaspersky.. hehehe

  13. Any website owner who wants to bring more traffic to their business and ramp up their sales must start an article marketing strategy into their efforts. It has been proven to work over and over again by thousands of business owners all over the world. However, if not done correctly, you are not going to get the results you want. Therefore, it is very important to learn what not to do, as well. The easiest strategy to leverage your article marketing efforts consists in usingan article spinning and submitter software so you’re able to post more articles quickly. The more article directories you submit the more traffic you will get, and also this will help you to get high quality backlinks fast.

  14. Outstanding article but I’m still left what you might advocate as an substitute. Could Good alternatives to generate traffic be a combination of traffic origination tools, viral traffic tools and incentives?

  15. Really? Nod32 is the best antivirus?
I try it to know if this is very useful antivirus.

  18. 😎 let me correct you regarding Kaspersky. true it is powerful but when you shut down your pc It will take you time. Try Avast if your not an I.T. pro. But if you are an I.T. pro i can only recomend Bit Defender,Norton and Kaspersky. another point for kaspersky.
