Osama Bin Laden Killed Sunday, Obama Announced

The most terrible terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden has been reported to have been killed in Pakistan Sunday, US President Obama announced. Accordingly, an operation was executed in a mansion in Abbottabad, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) north of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad which has killed Osama, and four other people including his adult son and a woman who was used as a shield by a male combatant. A congressional source familiar with the operation said bin Laden was shot in the head.

Osama Bin Laden founded and is heading the Al Qaeda group operates as a network comprising both a multinational, stateless army and a radical Sunni Muslim movement calling for global Jihad. Osama Bin Laden is alleged mastermind of the 9/11 world trade center attack in the United States 10 years ago and his death has brought relief to the relatives of the victims.

For the first time in 10 years, USA has achieved somewhat an achievement in their war against terrorism. In fact, Obama labeled the incident as “the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat al Qaeda.” Because of what happened, he also tighten the security of all American people as a counter attack has been expected anytime.

His corpse was reported to be buried at the sea in accordance to the Islamic tradition. Many Muslims adhere to the belief that bodies should be buried within one day.
