With all these iPhone news around, please don’t get yourself confused. This new iPhone 4 doesn’t mean it is a 4G phone. The only 4G phone as of the moment is the HTC EVO 4G. It is being powered by Sprint mobile that uses WiMax, the only network provider that offers 4G. iPhone 4 is being powered by AT&T as Apple is being tied up with it for at least another 2 years.
This new iPhone 4 has a lot of great features to offer though compared to the 3G’s. It has 2 cameras now, one with 5x digital zoom. It has longer battery life than previous Apple iPhone units and it promises 7 hours of 3G talk time plus it is the thinnest phone in the planet so far with only 9.3mm thick.
This new iPhone is available at different online stores now, particularly Apple’s official website. Pre-selling is only available to Japan, US, UK, France and Germany for now. The 16GB model can be bought for $199 and the 32GB model is priced at $299

@Carey – I would say iPhone all the way.
The Evo is definitely nice, but Sprint’s 4G network is far from complete. Here’s the coverage maps (http://shop.sprint.com/en/stores/popups/4G_coverage_popup.shtml). Like for me (in Detroit), having that phone would be the equivalent of having a motorboat; I’d have to leave my neighborhood (or state) to actually USE it.
And even though it’s an Android + HTC phone, I still wouldn’t trust ANYTHING 1st gen with Sprint. They’re bragging about being the first to 4G, but they’ve never been the best at trailblazing innovation. If you wanna get a 4G phone, I would at least suggest waiting until the next one comes out, then you can have something to compare the Evo against.
Blackberry right now has nothing on iPhone. Maybe the next iteration will get a leg-up on it, but iPhone 4 is absolutely killing Blackberry.

iPhone users should not consider upgrading their phones for the next iPhone release, instead they should consider leaving AT&T immediately. AT&T is a lousy company and always passive and behind. You’ll never see AT&T on any G4 network. At the end of my contract I’ll be acting like a 4G network, as I will run from AT&T 100 times faster than their promised 4g network. Htc evo is much better phone and it works on a rocket speed on 4g network. Leave AT&T immediately! Do not look back! Leave if you don’t have contract anymore.

I like my iphone 4, I can stream movies from netflix, surf the internet, text, talk, take quality pictures, and stream music from pandora’s application. It’s really nice I also bought the otter box for $50. So far I’ve enjoyed owning my iphone 4.
Plenty are in denial but iPhone4 is juss hype.no flash,no hot spot,no unlimited data,no 4g,video call only on WiFi ? Unless you join the cult lol no hdmi input…has anyone seen the iphone4 plan? You gotta be kidding me!
There will an update soon that fixes the FACETIME issue of only being available on wifi. I am so hoping that I didn’t purchase this phone and Apple won’t do something to get it up to 4G network but then again having just got 3G in Arkansas I am very happy with the speeds I am getting.. 3G beats the hell out of the Edge network anytime.. I believe that Apple is one of the best choices I have ever made. I have had great experiences with all of them from the 2G,3G, and now the 4G. While AT&T does have there issues, as do all companies do, I believe they are doing much to fix the problems
