Google Way Back 1998

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

Warning: Before reading this post, make sure that you don’t know everything about the so-called way back machine, also known as the internet archive. This post is for the people who had no idea about the internet’s time machine.

I just discovered this awesome website through Marhgil. I told him that our PRC board exam results website was down, and all the files and database was wiped out by our VPS host because their hard disk was corrupted. I don’t know what to do, my latest file and database backup of the said website was last December 2007, and it’s way too not-updated. (more…)

Goodbye Blogspot

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

My sincerest apologies to all of my subscribers for having no updates for the past few days. But now, I’m back! in a brand new, powerful, robust, and free blogging platform called Wordpress! I wasn’t able to edit, publish my updates, and post new articles since February 29, 2008, because my blogspot blog was locked due to some characteristics of being a spam blog. Google’s “DUMB” robot mistakenly identified my blog as a spam blog and others as well.

At Google TechTalk

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

After 2 days of being offline, and 4 days of thinking what am I going to post about Google TechTalk, I finally figured out what to write about the said event. Oh well, so much for these nonsensical chitchats. 3:00 PM, I went to Greenbelt, sent an SMS to Ate Aileen, bragging to her that I was early, and asking for directions of how to get to ACCEED. She then asked me to buy a Straw na Pantali at National Bookstore. At first, I really don’t know what’s that straw na pantali thing, I replied asking for a description of that mentioned stuff. Later, I found out that it was a tie box. After I bought the pantali, I rushed to ACCEED, pretending that I know its whereabouts until I end up as a wanderer, looking for a place that I really can’t locate where it is. My sensory motor ebbed to zero, until Ate Aileen gave me a ring, and told me that ACCEED is AIM Conference Center. I wonder where did the “D” come from, or what is its definition. I asked the guard outside AIM Conference Center about Google TechTalk, then he told me to take the elevator and go to the 8th floor. :) *ting-ting*

*On the 8th floor of AIM building*… I saw Ate Aileen, with Sweetie (oops.. with her Sweetie I mean… of TitikPilipino.com). I also met the Google Engineers from Mountain View, California, and the famous Markku of RebelPixel.com and Dax of Force Analytics, setting up the Cliquebooth. After a few seconds of rehydration, ate Aileen asked me to stick the schwag coupons randomly under the chairs of the event guests, there are 200 chairs, but only 60 coupons. The lucky ones who can take a seat on one of these 60 golden chairs with schwag coupons can take home a Google Developer Day T-shirt! After the first task, AJ Matela of Baklaako.com arrived, and ate Aileen’s friends: Anne, Chel, and Cel. Ate Aileen gave us instructions of what to do during the main event.

I can’t think na… Waaaaaa! Let’s end the event na :). After the event… We went home, and slept. Hehehe… During the main event pala, we ate Lasagna, Beef Steak, Pork Chop, Lechon Baboy, Giant Prawns, Giant Lobsters, Fried Chicken, Pork Barbecue, and so much more! (hehehe) and dito muna, wala na me maisip na ma post :) Nagamit ko din pala ang mahiwaga kong Calling card na galing pang Malaysia na pasalubong sa akin ni Batang Yagit, nakipag exchange ako kay Juned, JayDJ, and Markku. At… wala na akong ma kwento :) Here are some pics during the Google Developers Night, courtesy of Cliquebooth.com:

Do I look younger in the pics? :P

P.S.: Sorry for the grammatical errors above, talagang ma error ako mag sulat :P My english grammar I.Q. is below zero. :P Please leave a comment to help the Slow Learner improve his english skills.. heehee :) Thanks!

Kontera Sucks… Almost…

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

I should be posting right now of why Kontera Sucks. But, I… myself, prevented me to do it. I was so damn annoyed because after 2 weeks, my Kontera Earnings are still flat $0.00. Oh my… I really really really can’t believe it why I still didn’t make it to even $0.01!! and… the worst thing is, I still have ZERO impressions! What the #$%#$% is happening here??!? After being skeptical of removing my kontera ads or not, I first checked my Kontera client ID if it matches to my client ID in my account. Subsequently, I realized, that it’s all my fault. My jaw dropped, and was so… (ano nga yung english ng sayang? I forgot.. basta nasayangan :P ). so… sayangized. Heehee… Because its been 2 weeks, then I was really expecting that my Kontera ads are earning more than my Bidvertiser ads, it’s just that, I didn’t double checked my Kontera ID if it matches, instead of 21971, I entered 21970.

So, double check first before posting, judging or blogging anything about it. For those who are planning to sign up for kontera, click here, for adsense, click here! for bidvertiser? Nahh.. I don’t recommend bidvertiser, I’ve been displaying their advertisements for almost 2 months, and I only earn $4.50!!! Go for WIDGETBUCKS instead, it’s the only PPC ads system that competes with adsense, and even far way more better than Adsense! Try it! and you’ll never look for another PPC ads again…. ;) (widgetbucks again??!!?)

PR4 Finally!

Hahahahaha! I’m so happy that my page rank increased, from PR3 to PR4! Yun lang! :P Congrats niyo naman me :)

Pinay Scandal

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Editing my Pinay Scandal Post: It seems that I’m not included in the 1st page of SERPs in the keyword “Pinay Scandal”, I don’t know why. There are so many factors why my post was not included on the first page, and I don’t it to be like this forever. I have to do something to get back to the first page and prove my SEO skills are really “Skills”, not just a happy-go-lucky SEO.

Backlinks, Social Bookmarks, Proper meta tags and keyword tags are just a few of a hundred factors in search engine optimization. If I’m trying to optimize this keyword, I should create numerous backlinks to this post using my post title as my anchor text.

One thing that I’ve noticed in optimizing a page in a blog is that my overall meta description should not be the same with my blog post title, or else this post will be pulled far far away from the first page. Overall description meta should be unique, it should be completely different with my blog post meta. Now, that’s just my observation. You judge!

Another thing is the number of times the keyword that you’re trying to optimize appears in the post. Pinay scandal, pinay scandal and pinay scandal is also a factor in search engine optimization. If you say pinay scandal over and over again, it’s a plus, but its factor is far way more less compared to backlinks. Backlinks are the greatest, or should I say, the most powerful element in optimizing posts. That’s all. More backlinks means more chances of winning! Yay! :)

Can I be banned from posting my adsense earnings?

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Absolutely NO! Have you read the Section 7 of Google Adsense TOS? It states that:

Confidentiality. You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google’s prior written consent. “Google Confidential Information” includes without limitation: (a) all Google software, technology, programming, specifications, materials, guidelines and documentation relating to the Program; (b) click-through rates or other statistics relating to Site performance in the Program provided to You by Google; and (c) any other information designated in writing by Google as “Confidential” or an equivalent designation. However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program. Google Confidential Information does not include information that has become publicly known through no breach by You or Google, or information that has been (i) independently developed without access to Google Confidential Information, as evidenced in writing; (ii) rightfully received by You from a third party; or (iii) required to be disclosed by law or by a governmental authority.

So, mr. or ms. anonymous, read first, before posting a comment that showing a print screen of my gross income from Adsense will drive me to havoc. okey??????? :P

So, if anyone out there whose afraid to brag and post their Adsense income to their blog, don’t be afraid to. If your not sure about the Adsense laws, read the Adsense TOS first! I know 99% are not reading the TOS before registering to the program. Read first before you judge! :P

By the way, for those Adsensers who wants extra income, why not try WIDGETBUCKS? It’s a fast earner PPC program! I have earned $45.00 in just 10 days, $70.00 in total (including $25 sign up bonus!) Isn’t it great!? You can choose from different ad formats, you can take a view of my Slow Learner blog for an example of a custom Widgetbucks Ad Format. ;)

I ranked 1 on Google Search Results!

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

I ranked 1 on Google Search Results for the keyword “DOST scholars“. Yey! after a year of link building and promoting my website for DOST-SEI scholars, I ranked 1 on the search results, as of this day. I hope this will be forever, but I think dost.gov.ph will regain the top spot one of these days. I’m just happy to be on top of 468,000 search results. It’s a great achievement for an SEO Newbie like me, that’s why I’m really proud of it.

Oh well, that’s all for today. I can’t think of something bloggable as of now.
