Why Buy a Nokia N78?
First and foremost, I would like to thank Nokia Philippines for lending me this cool, stylish and brand new N-Series phone, the Nokia N78. I’m suppose to give this back to them 2 weeks ago but I didn’t return it yet because I still have not explored the phone’s features and I’m still too lazy to make my N78 review

After being lethargic in writing a short review, I finally generated a Nokia N78 review by combining my scattered brain cells about the features, pros, and cons of Nokia N78.
To answer my post title above, here are the reasons to buy a Nokia N78:
1. It’s a cellphone. You can use it to send an SMS or call another mobile phone(Two-way video call or no video at all).
2. It’s a camera. A whooping 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, LED flash and up to 20x digital zoom.
3. It’s a gateway to the WWW. Browse the world wide web with the Nokia Internet Browser, featuring visual history, mini-map and progressive download. WLAN (WiFi) and HSDPA capable.
4. It’s an RSS Reader. Get your blog’s latest RSS feeds or parse your favorite news feeds from CNN, Yahoo, Google and many more through it’s RSS web feed application.
5. It’s an electronic mailbox. You can setup and access your e-mail through POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP.
6. It’s a gaming gadget. You can play all N-Gage games with this phone.
7. It’s a data storage. Yeah.. I know you know it.. Hehe. Send and receive files through bluetooth, etc. Delete and Save files, create a folder, organize files, rename, etcetera etcetera etcetera.
8. It’s a Music Phone. With an integrated music player that supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA.
9. It’s a Video Player. You can download YouTube videos and play it on your phone. Record, Copy, and Receive videos in various format.
10. It’s a GPS. With a Google Earth-like application, you can find where you are right now in satellite view, locate where you are going, and do so many things that you are already doing with a GPS.
11. It’s a Phone for the blind. An integrated SMS reader is ready to read all of your messages, just don’t use an “SMS Language” because the reader will read it literally. For instance, you’ll let N78 read “K0rek, i 4get 8″. It will be read as (with a robotic female voice): “K Zero R E K, I Four G E T eight.” Hahaha!
12. It’s a radio. You can listen to your favorite FM stations thru Nokia Internet Radio and Stereo FM Radio!
13. It’s an FM Transmitter. You can broadcast yourself and build your own radio station! Just set your frequency and connect. Listen to your frequency from your good old home radio or car radio perhaps, and play a music using your N78. Be amazed!
14. It’s the first phone with Anti-theft mechanism. You can use its self exploding feature. By activating it, the phone will recognize if the user is not you. Once it was stolen, it will automatically explode based on the time you’ve set, and the snatcher will be surely left for dead. (This feature will come soon, hopefully) hehehe…
And.. more unexplored features that I have not yet discovered.
In the contrary above, here are the following are the reasons why you shouldn’t buy it:
1. It’s prone to finger prints. Once you get hold of it and killed someone, and left it on a crime scene. You’ll surely be traced easily and thrown into jail.
2. It’s not waterproof. If you’re a scuba diver and you want to call while relishing the beauty of the Philippine coral reef, your phone will get drowned.
3. It’s not damage proof. If your in the 101st floor of Petronas Tower and you dropped your N78, it will surely break into pieces. I’m not joking, this is true!
4. As of now, I can only think of 3 seasons.
Some Snapshots of N78. Its height is almost the same with an iPod touch and as thick as an HP TX1000 Tablet PC.

Conclusion? It’s a feature-packed cellphone with all the features I really don’t need, but I need sometimes. It’s cheaper and more powerful than N82 (SRP is Php22,900, but I saw this in SM just today for only Php18,900). It’s sleek, stylish, and… black? Yeah black, as in itim. Anyway, I’m still contented with my Nokia 1110i until now. As of today, I can say that it’s the best Nokia N-series phone compared to other Nokia N-series phones. With all the features mentioned above, what more can you ask?
If you want to grab some of my Nokia N78 images, just get a copy of it and don’t tell me. I will never know. Hehehe.

I like the review, it is very simple and straight to the point. Have you tied the Asus mini computer? It has 8″ screen size? You better buy that one if blogging is what you want to do everyday. Anyway N78 is nice cellphone but expensive compared to n95 here which will cost only around P18,000.00 there in the Philippines.
