Support the Pinoy Torchbearer for 2008 Olympics

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

While I’m browsing the internet before leaving the office, Batang Yagit suddenly gave me an alarming, eye-popping, head-turning, heart-beating, brain-damaging, lung-killing and nerve-wrecking buzz in YM , and told me to post a campaign for the Pinoy Torchbearer, because this campaign is near to its end on Sunday, October 14, 2007!!! So, without further a do, I am copying Batang Yagit’s post from his blog about Pinoy torchbearer for the 2008 Beijing Olympics:

As I was browsing my feeds this morning, I found this very interesting feed from Pinoy Ambisyoso. It says let’s make miracle for the pinoy torchbearer in 2008 Beijing Olympics. That’s when my curiosity aroused. First, I had no idea that the 2008 Olympics will be in Beijing. Second, I did not know the selection process for the Olympic torchbearer. Lastly, I got intrigued by the “Let’s make miracle….” line.

Reading through the pinoy torchbearer’s voting page, I realized that he really need his country’s support.

Let us support our fellow Filipino, Marcos Antonio Torres, who is vying for the privilege of carrying the Olympics torch towards the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. You can vote here.

As of the moment, a Colombian national is already a few thousand votes ahead. Let us do our part as Filipinos. I believe that an internet campaign would be very effective. It’s not yet too late for us to beat the one on top. Just don’t forget to vote.

Why should we vote for this guy? There is one simple answer for that simple question, and the answer is YES! (hahaha.. ang corny :P)
Ganito nalang, if you love Manny Pacquiao, you should love him also, because this guy will bring great honor to our country, biruin mo, pag nanalo siya sa campaign na to, PINOY ang magdadala ng torch this 2008 Beijing Olympics!!! Oh! ano pang hinihintay ninyo! Vote na!!! Nasa top 10 na daw ang ating pambato ngayon! ayun kay Batang Yagit! So vote na! naka vote na kasi ako.. kaya kayo naman ang mag vote! weeeeeee!!!

Click here to vote for Marco Antonio Torres.

Dabawenya Jud!
http://www.dabawenya.com
This blog was owned by a professional photographer? You bet! She really was! and she’s really good at it! She loves taking photos about everything, specially in Davao. She also owns a website that contains spoof photos, cool images, and all kinds of pictures about so many things in the city of Davao, and random places of the South. She really brags about being a Dabawenya, she loves Davao, and, she really loves Davao! (hahaha… super duper redundant na!) Basta, she loves Davao, I love Davao also :P. Because it’s the best place to live in, if I where to choose. (diba ate Aileen?) So… Let’s go back to the blog, as you can see… this dabawenya, is pretty talented, not only in photography, but also in graphic design. I also learned how to save energy in her blog in a very simple way, by searching using Blackle [ahahaha.. I'll make one like this, khoops black hehehe..] It’s also a Google Search Engine, but was customized, and made the background color black. Using this instead of the Main Google SE saves Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year
of energy! Imagine that! Malaki din yun diba? So..? so much for that! let’s go back about this Dabawenya… If you’ll read her “about me” section, you’ll discover that she has been a photojournalist for 14 years now [maybe 15 years na, kasi matagal na ata di na update yung About Me section ni ate Jojie]. She was also a web designer, a TV host and a digital artist, at marami pang iba! WhoooOAWW! Masyadong magaling na to! Hmmmmmmmm… tama na.. sobra na! WAAAAAAAAAA!

Itanong Mo Kay Jemme
http://www.jemme.net
YipeeeeEE!!! Ngunit huwag kayong mag alala, kasi sabi ni Jemme “I shall return!”. Nyahahahaha!

It’s updated weekly? sometimes daily.. but that sometimes was gone as of now… It’s only updated when the author of it finds a new HotSpot location in the best and most beautiful city in the world, the city of the best among the best, the city of the talented individuals that doesn’t flaunt their potentials and doesn’t brag about their hidden brain magic, the city of Davao! Naks naman! ^_^

Yahoo Messenger Status Length Limited?

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

Others said that it’s a new YM worm, and others also said that it is implemented by Yahoo! Well, it’s really implemented by Yahoo!. So, for those who are interested to make their Yahoo Messenger Status Message long again, you can download this third party program and patch your Yahoo Messenger. But first, don’t forget to close your YM. If it does not work.. try to check your running processes. To do that, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and check whether YM is present or not.

This program is not a worm fix. It’s a third party program that hacks your YM and implements the long status message again. Thanks to Google :P

Oooops.. I forgot the download link ^_^ Click HERE to download the patch. Unzip it after downloading, double click it, and it should work just fine. (It’s not a Virus.. trust me… hehe)

If you can’t click the link above, just copy paste the URL below, and you know what to do. :) Enjoy!

… or if you really want the status message to be back legally, then why not sign the petition HERE! courtesy of the Cagayan de Oro blogger, thanks goma for the petition link :P

My Desktop (A Printscreen Meme)

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

In response to Eagleman’s meme, I am now posting my desktop screenshot. (Nothing follows.. only a screenshot, hehe)

The Meme Rules:My Desktop Free View Instruction:

A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. You can do a screen capture by:

[1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).

[2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V).

[3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.

B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of Icons, things like that.

C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.

D. Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

That’s it! hehe wala na.. tapos na.. :)

Somebody uses my identity!

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

I have received a letter from Citibank a while ago, I opened the letter and read it. I was surprised that I was rejected to have a Citibank credit card, and I can apply again after 6 months, even though I have not applied for it. Is it possible that somebody out there, knows my address and my complete name? Then, he/she uses my name to apply for a credit card? How can I protect myself from these possible threats? Is it dangerous or should I just disregard this certain issue?

I have called Citibank after receiving this letter, then they verified my identity (asked my birth date and mother’s maiden name) and asked for a reference number that is indicated in the letter which they gave me. Subsequently, they asked me if I have applied online, or if somebody called me from Citibank. I replied, “No, I haven’t applied and no one called me and offered such credit card”. In addition to what has been said, they told that they will just make an incident report about it.

So? What’s the catch? What if I, myself, applied for a credit card, I will not be accepted after 6 months from the date that I am rejected to have one. But, it’s not a big deal for me. I just want to create an open letter to the ONE, who used my identity to apply for a credit card, to say Thank You, and may God bless you, and welcome you in His kingdom, as early as NOW.

Good day! ^_^
