CSS Drop Down Menu

Friday, April 14th, 2006

CSS Drop Down Menu is a hot trend for CSS Developers and Designers. Based on my research, this keyword was searched in Google since early 2007 up to now. I myself was also searching for the easiest way to build a drop down menu that is CSS based. The old drop down menus are known as DHTML or Dynamic HTML. With the help of Javascript, they can build an awesome drop down menu in seconds.

I have used a lot of programs to generate a cool drop down menu. One is the SoThink DHTML Menu Builder. This is one of the coolest and the hottest drop down menu builder for web newbies and web oldies. Web developers use these drop down menus to ease their work in creating astounding drop down navigation for their websites.

So? So much for the introduction. Let’s go to our main topic of how to create a Drop Down Menu based on CSS.

No.. I’m not going to make a tutorial of how to create a drop down menu. Because there’s a lot already in the web. What I’ll do is to list my favorite, easy-to-understand, and user friendly tutorials that I found in the world wide web. Here they are:

1. A CSS Only Drop Down Menu by Stu Nicholls
2. How to Create a CSS Drop Down Menu by Dynamic Drive
3. Drop Down Menus, Horizontal Style by A List Apart
4. Pure CSS Vertical Drop Down Menu by TJK Design
5. CSS and XHTML Drop Down Menu Tutorial by Alsacreations

That’s it. That’s my nifty list of How-tos in creating a CSS Drop Down Menu. Enjoy!

Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file

Friday, April 14th, 2006

This is a Photoshop CS3 Error that I encountered after opening a PNG file that is suppose to be a readable format by Photoshop. This “could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file” error pops up after I opened the file. The only solution that I can think of to open the file is open it to another editor, like Microsoft Picture Viewer. Save it as PNG again, then open it again in Photoshop and it works just fine.

Another solution is, you can open it in Microsoft Picture Viewer or a Browser(Firefox or IE). Then, press print screen. After pressing print screen, go to photoshop. Create a new project, then CTRL+V (To paste what you have copied). Then that’s it, you have the file opened in Photoshop CS3.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Free NDS Download

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

This is one of the hottest games for Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite. The Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Others refer this game as Mario and Sonic at Beijing Olympics. I’m not sure if they are the same or not, but I guess they are the same. One of the game’s big draws is that it lets you use characters from the Mario and Sonic universes. From the Mario side you can select Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Bowser, Daisy, Yoshi, or Peach. From the Sonic side you can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Blaze, Vector, Dr. Eggman, or Shadow. Each character is rated in a number of categories, but these ratings don’t seem to matter much if you’re any good at the game. Though there’s no online play, the game tracks records for all events, and you can even upload your best scores and times online to see how you stack up with the rest of the world.

Multiplayer options include download play, which lets you play six events against up to three other people and, if everyone has their own cartridge, four people can choose from all 24 of the game’s single events or compete in full circuits. You can download Mario and Sonic at the Olympics Games here for free! But download them at your own risk. Free games are not advisable for download. Mario Kart DS Free Game Download

Wednesday, April 5th, 2006

Mario Kart DS is one of the top Nintendo DS Games nowadays. With it’s superb gaming environment and awesome graphics, Mario Kart DS is a must-have for all DS Gamers. This popular racing series, which first appeared on the Super Nintendo in 1992, lets you race your favorite Nintendo characters against each other in karts that can be armed with such devastating weapons as banana peels, opponent-seeking red shells, and opponent-shrinking lightning bolts. The series has evolved steadily with each iteration, up to and including 2003’s Mario Kart: Double Dash, which retained most of its predecessors’ features while introducing a new team-based mechanic that saw each cart manned by both a driver and a gunner.
